CLIENT: N/A | DATE: June, 2016 What do you do when beings from outer space arrive? You throw them a party. I wanted to create a holistic experience under the cloak of a party. To have creative control over every aspect of the event and create an experiential gallery for my friends to test out... without them knowing it. I created a number of elements including sound and visual design, lighting, props and interactive devices that all ladder up to prepping for and having aliens join us here on Earth. Follow along as I walk you through the event. But first, the recap video. HUMAN SCANNER All humans were required to be scanned. By mashing up visual cues and adding in some sound design, I created a full scale projected experience. LIQUID LIGHT BAR Guests were invited to interact with a reflective covered table and LEDs to warp the light as they saw fit.

CLIENT: N/A | DATE: June, 2016 One of our first full-scale experiments with lumia. Here we took two large, white triangular sheets and created a pyramid that contains a lumia mobile. This mobile randomly casts light throughout the space, changing over time and providing constantly unique experiences. CLIENT: St. Paul the Apostle School | DATE: March, 2016 When my Mom told me she was putting on Willy Wonka at my old grade school, I knew it would be a perfect chance to use projection mapping. She was on board. We ended up using it in the classic boat scene where shit hits the fan and made the sail into a visual focal point. I was able to use imagery that worked with the pace of the song and the creepiness of the scene (although not too creepy since this would be shown to kindergartners). This being my first live production I learned the frustrations that come with the territory, but learned and evolved what I was doing to make it work. |
