Art-Tech Experience 2018
CLIENT: Minneapolis Television Network | DATE: March, 2018
After winning a call for art from the Minneapolis Television Network, I teamed up with new, experimental band, Infinite Strangers for a debut audio/visual experience.
We played two, one-hour sets. During the first, I began the set by controlling a lumia output with my movements through an XBOX Kinect. In the second, guests were invited to move, dance, and morph the music where their movements were remixed their live. |

LIGHTING THE WAY
CLIENT: Artworks Eagan | DATE: April, 2018
The second ever show in the collaboration that is Second Sight Visuals and Infinite Strangers. This time we were at Art Works Eagan for the opening of "Lighting the Way," a glass and photography exhibit that we were honored to also be selected for.
In this iteration of our performance, I used my "patented" lumia harp for the first time. Here I play the xbox kinect like an instrument and as my hands cross a plane, it reveals a projected image. This way I could "sample" colors from images to draw the lumia from.
In addition, I set up the prism experiment again for guests to interact with.
As they spun the table and rearranged the prisms, that output was sent to a 6 screen display.

PORTALS & PATHWAYS
CLIENT: Kitty Kat Club | DATE: Sept, 2018
Portals & Pathways was a site-specific, immersive audio/visual experience from the Second Sight Visuals and Infinite Strangers team. This performance was based around creating volumetic light through fog and projection.
The main pyramid of light was created and then subsequent movements of positive and negative space over Ben and Ryan brought a 3rd dimension to the light. With the position of the stage and curtain, the light seemed sent from the heavens and looked as though Ben and Ryan would beam up at any moment. Big thanks to Joe Herron and Tom Michaels for some of the additional photos, video and audio used below. |
